I read your poem and I must say that I was struck by the beauty and simplicity of your language. The way that you captured the changing seasons and the shifting moods of nature was both elegant and evocative, and I found myself drawn in by the vivid imagery and sense of wonder that permeated the poem. The opening lines, with their reference to winter snow melting and children riding their Christmas bikes, set the stage for a poem that was both nostalgic and hopeful, and I appreciated the way that you captured the sense of joy and excitement that comes with the changing of the seasons. The middle section, with its reference to the lawn being disrobed by the rising sun, was particularly striking, and I thought that it added a sense of intimacy and warmth to the poem. The final lines, with their reference to the aspen trees still shaking and quaking in the cold, were a powerful reminder of the cyclical nature of life and the inevitability of change. Overall, I found the poem to be a beautiful and thoughtful meditation on the natural world, and I think that it will resonate with many readers who appreciate the beauty and wonder of the changing seasons. Well done.

Where I am, we've had no snow, only a dusting. Though I'm not complaining. Your words make spring a welcome site. I can't wait to cut the jade green coat. :) Beautiful writing, Sharon. It's a pleasure to read your poetry.

Awww! You are a sweetie. Thanks so much Pat. ~Sharon
It is indeed time for hope and renewal to peek into our lives once more and perhaps dream of leaving the house in slightly less than everything we own and perhaps if we are lucky to feel that big bright sky ball of fire warming our skin once more.
I must admit that even hearing the phrase "the rockies" does make me glad I am from almost tropical Scotland in comparison 😊
most of my adult life i lived in SD .. it doesn't take long to understand that when snows melt in Feb., Mar., even Apr., .... the aspen are still quaking and those mountains are able to throw a few more snow balls our way .. Spring can be so dang fickle! ;)

Thanks so much for your kind words E. I appreciate you. ~Sharon
we have birch and and alder here but they both offer a poor imitation of that beautiful aspen bark and what a lovely contrast they offer come autumn
luck you
We didn't get any snow this year in the low country. Our mountains only got a dusting. I'm like, Okay, winter, you had your chance, now, scram! ready for sunshine and spring and flowers now. I enjoyed the read, Miss Sharon. F.

Awww! Thank you Fabian for your kind words. ~Sharon
Three little gems here Sharon. The second and third are visually beautiful. It has been a harsh winter. Spring will be most welcome. We have blue sky and sun this morning, a sign of what is just around the corner.
