THROUGH THE NIGHT

Love me tender through the night

Say that things will be all right

Hold me closely in your arms

Kiss me tender with your charms

Make the darkness disappear

Tell me there will be no fear

Play me like a tinkling bell

Like the one with lies to sell

Shroud me with a quilted dream

Where all things ARE what they seem

When I wake another day

Listen please to what I say

Hearts are broken quickly here

Where the children dry their tears

Washing 'way their never land

Needing not a helping hand.
