BELIEVE ME...LISTEN TO ME...LOVE ME

When I say I feel there is no purpose for my life...

Please listen.

When I say I want to die...

Please believe me.

When I say I hate myself...

Please know that is my belief.

When I act so unloveable, please know...

That is when I need love the most.

And in those times I do not show love to you...

Please believe that I want to with all of my heart.

To love unconditionally is really tough. So often others may feel these words are from one who is playing a "victim". I, on the other hand, personally relate to these words. I get this poem right down to it's core. Loneliness and feeling forgotten can be so overwhelming.

thank you for posting this. it's important to talk about. i'm infuriated by the people who push away those who suffer because they're inconvenient, even though i have to admit that tendency exists in me. i've been on both sides of the conflict in this poem, and i know the side you take is right. thank you for the reminder and the manifesto

Rarely does anything in life complete us more than love itself. With it we feel indestructible. And yet at times its yearning can make us feel a loneliness we've never experienced before. This poem describes just how much we ache to be loved so it fills that void in our souls.
