SEARCHING FOR A PLACE

SEARCHING FOR A PLACE

A Poem by Miss Sharon
"

Words need a place to go.

"
SEARCHING FOR A PLACE

Morning news reaching frenzy zone.
Sad grey day with secrets to own.
Nights linger low on opal moons,
As fever breaks the month of June.

My words are searching for a place
That they will never ever taste.
And thoughts just seem to run amuck
Where days sell for a measly buck.

What is this need I'm wont to own
That flutters while the prairie groans?
And where is God to amputate
The final churning, burning slate?

I enjoyed this write. I don't know that God amputates so much as resurrects and recycles. If nothing else, nature can teach us that nothing goes wasted in the universe. Trees can live for thousands of years like the ancient bristlecone pine but eventually they die to fertilize the arid ground on which they grew; to scatter seed in place of themselves to begin the cycle again. We all have a place. But the place is sometimes transitory and nothing is permeant except love. At least, that's my belief. Bless, F.

You use rhyme so well that I forget that I'm reading rhyme. Formal poetry in a conversational style is so hard to do but you make it seem unforced and natural. I am so impressed. Love it.

Thanks so much my friend! I appreciate you. ~Sharon
I believe you are referring to the world news... and all of us need a better place; one in which we can live peacefully, without that awful taste...thoughts run amuck because we are enveloped in chaos...We all have a need to be in that special place...wherever that may be....and we keep repeating the bad things we have done before.....this is reality....

oh ... i believe God may have seen enough Ms. Sharon .. timely write says i .. important social message .. it is a wisdom from the ages that the material world is not the goal ... but beyond the grave .. outside ego and penitent in God's eternal love ... it's like watching the news on any channel or station .. is a poison the keeps on poisoning ... and we drink the cool aide don't we :(((((((((((

Indeed Sir Einstein! Thanks for the timely review. ~Sharon
It is frightening to turn on the news these days. There are secrets flying right and left....ones that perhaps are true, perhaps not. Everything depends on money in this world, does it not? It's difficult to believe in a higher power when we see the violence all around us. Very timely words, Sharon. Lydi**

So very true my dear friend. Thanks so much for your beautiful review. ~Sharon
dearest Sharon... there needs to be more than two choices out of the Millions of Choices.. What happened to the days when there were multiple Candidates. The problem is with the Agenda... who wants to go through changing all the Damage done... there must be at least a Few. This is my Prayer... it is not too late. How about a Retired General who does not want War.... an impressive Person who knows what our Country has fought and died to maintain a Freedom of Choice... a Respect for the Unborn... the Spirit endowed... the Heartbeat ... the smile and curiosity. tenderly, Pat

What a beautiful review my friend. Thank you so much! ~Sharon
Might find a place in listening ears or deaf ones. Something must give. They surely have lots of impact. Some words are welcome without filters, others are not welcome.

You are welcome Miss Sharon.
I think we’ve all been there… staring at a blank screen wishing the words would come to us. You have found a creative way to express this loss for word format. Thanks for sharing. Temp
