You have captured the beauty of the earth and what Mother Nature has to offer.....More specifically, the Rocky Mountains. I have gazed on their beauty and glory in the mountains and from the air. So majestic and glorious. Lovely poem, great rhyme and imagery. Thank you for sharing. Temp

Beautifully written indeed. The mountains, rivers, and hills we are so smitten by took many years to be created, by Mother nature through erosions, and natural disasters, ice ages. Nature's beauty can not be descirbed just by the words penned, a click of a photo, sometimes you just have to see it to take in the extraordinary gifts left by mother nature.

Mother nature has so many wonders to reveal, if we just take the time to look and really see. A finely constructed poem, poetically expressing the glories of nature!

Thanks so much Robert for your kind and generous review of this post! You are appreciated. ~Sharon
dear Sharon... I was born in Wild Wonderful West Virginia-- but grew up in Maryland and had my children in Virginia. My Son Robert spent time with friends in Colorado for a few months and then moved to Utah where he met Leilani... they married and have two girls. Leilani is Navajo Indian, but was raised off the Reservation along with her family. When she was about 35 or so she met my Son Robert. So now their girls are half Navajo Indian and half Hungarian and Scottish on my Son's side of the family with a bit of the Irish from my maternal Grandmother. When my Son Robert and Leilani had their first Child, I had a thirty day round trip ticket to spend time holding my youngest granddaughter at the time. Before I returned to Virginia-- they took me fishing on a Lake on top of Bear Mountain. Now Leilani who was accepted into the Navy... has committed to five Years in the Navy. They are stationed in Norfolk, Virginia (fairly close to Roger and myself. My daughter Edie and her hubby and two children live in Virginia Beach, Virginia (we are all fairly close together at Present. The entire World has so much Beauty in the Sky and Oceans and many Natural Environments. If only our World is not destroyed is our Prayer forevermore. gently, Pat

Reading through this I was drawn to the time when no man had trodden on the landscape that you were describing; a land unsullied and unspoiled. Beautiful writing. Thank you for sharing.

Another beautiful poem Sharon. You capture nature so well in your stanzas. Your Colorado Rocky mountains must raise your spirits sky high. Very nicely composed dear friend.

your poetry is a "gentle nurturing," Sharon.
