GRUNT AND GRUMBLE

GRUNT AND GRUMBLE

A Poem by Miss Sharon
"

A bit of humor about our current situation.

"
GRUNT AND GRUMBLE

Grunt and grumble every day.
We've forgotten how to play.
Every THING just seems so grim,
Taking blows straight on the chin.

Where did all the happy go?
Time it seems is running SLOW!
How it happened...who's to say.
Days seem like a sullen play.

Sit me down to take a rest.
Death would be a pleasant test.
Yet I have no say it seems...
But to leave behind my dreams.

Grunt and grumble every day.
I've forgotten how to play.
Why this happened, I don't know.
Bye for now...it's time to go.

Sometimes it seems hard to stay cheerful, especially as we grow older and have to contend with aches and pains, and admit there are things we can't do anymore! lol! Still, we should be grateful - some people never even reach old age! A fun poem, with a serious side!

Ah, this was fun to read with your rhymes and in fact, it left me with a smile, thank you for that. But I knew it was going to be a good read by the wittiness in the title. tyfs, Sharon.

Thanks so much my friend for a kind review of this write! I appreciate you. ~Sharon
Great rhythm and rhyme, easily flows when read aloud, the content is so true, I think we all feel this way at some point and time and probably even more so with current events as they are but I I see this as part of the aging process as well so it has many meanings and I love that! Well done Miss Sharon

You are always so kind to me my dear! Thanks ever so much for your review. ~Sharon
It is sad that people take things too serious. Political correctness instead of respect, no one can take a joke. Where is the room for laughter, when we know it is good medicine. Well written.

Thank you very much kind sir for your very nice review! ~Sharon
So much truth in this poem. We lose our fun selves with time. Smile a bit less, play a bit less and take everything so much more seriously. Its time indeed, to reclaim the fun before its too late. Thank you for this lovely message!

Humor is needed indeed. It adds good flavor to our lives. Thank you for reminding us in this good, rhyming poem .
Now let us watch some Seinfeld.

Wow! GOOD to know. You are welcome Miss Sharon.
Love your double act Sharon of Grunt and Grumble who just love to turn on the neggies and blot out the sun. Liking the humour but also understanding the serious side. With so much tragedy going on, it isn't as easy to feel light at heart. There is a good lesson here dear poet.

Gee
Lol, you have hit the nail on the head. The world is a far less happy place these days, or so it seems, with folk too wrapped up in their me, my, mine world's to even crack a smile.
