Sometimes it seems hard to stay cheerful, especially as we grow older and have to contend with aches and pains, and admit there are things we can't do anymore! lol! Still, we should be grateful - some people never even reach old age! A fun poem, with a serious side!

Whe did life become such a bore? Why does aging take the fun out of life? Children have life in them, they play with such a happy emotion in them... and us adults are just so different, we are stressed, we have jobs, life gets tough, we must grunt and grumble, we aren't children. Life then is colorless, no salt in the food makes it tasteless, not good... Death becomes a nice escape, but it really isn't. We must learn to love life, it reminds me of this song, Its my life by Bon Jovi and one of the lines in the song is "I just want fo live while I'm alive" meaning that you must live, and enjoy life while you are still alive. I enjoyed reading this poem Sharon!

Thanks so much Aura for your beautiful review of this write! You are appreciated. ~Sharon
Yes, getting old is such a pain...pain can be real.. Aches and pain...
Saggy skin and on and on...
Playing..adventure is the only answer to living a long and happy life..doing what we really love..
"Death would be a pleasant test" a rather disturbing line...but definitely an interesting thought..
I just wrote and posted a new poem titled Forevermore..about death.. you might like it..

Thought I'd see what you've been up to ... and got this. Grumps! Do we write what we live, or live what we write? Do you need a poem to remind you how to play?

Sort of, maybe. I was playing with words. I'm going to post it in a few minutes.
Aging is no fun! We tend to grumble a lot; we suffer from aches and pains; And it does seem that time goes very slowly when you view life inn a dark way; Sometimes you may think that death is welcomed; You wonder where all the happy times disappeared to. The only positive here is that memories will always live on. I love the rhyme, you do it so well.
Best, B

Thanks so much Betty for your wonderful review. You are appreciated my friend. ~Sharon
We all tend to grump and grumble, but we do not appreciate the good things we have in our lives. Did you wake up? Are you walking? Do you have a roof over your head? All things to be grateful for. No, it is not time to go,Sharon....and we are not the ones who should determine that time.As always, beautifully written. Lydi**
