I have one of those racing gazelle minds, Sharon. Thoughts always moving at full speed and just dying for a moment to wind down. Much like you wrote, I find the words come like mighty winds as well. Unfortunately life gets so busy that I can't reach the computer in time to capture them and they are lost to the wind forever. A relatable piece for all that engage in this writing craft. I enjoyed your take on it. 💛

What a beautiful review Mariana! Thanks ever so much. ~Sharon
I enjoyed this Miss Sharon. I was brought here by Carola whose poem "The Word Tree" she attributed to inspiration from this piece. I, in turn, was inspired by Carola's poem, to write, "The Poet Tree" which I posted a few minutes ago. So thank you for inspiring Carola to inspire me. That's the whole purpose of sites like these, or should be; to allow writers to feed from the inspiration and creativity of their peers and contemporaries. We need not plagiarize or repeat them but to draw water from a well they have already visited is quite acceptable. And I completely understand the manic mind, being in possession of my own. I very much enjoyed. F.

What a nice review Fabian! I appreciate you my friend and the time you gave to this post. ~Sharon
That was a good poem. I asked someone once who spoke several languages which do they think in? She said she didn't think. I've been thinking about that answer ever since. Catching those words and phrases as they come, then the gather on the page arranged by our head. Like catching a look at an elusive bird. Then success when we get a photograph we can share if we could just get the camera out in time.

dear Sharon... it is amazing how our Body "locks up" with arthritis when we want to compose our poems. But somehow, we manage to Post a Poem now and then. Actually, our Mind seems to stay in tact longer than our body... for many people. Wonderful to express our thoughts in Poetry. gently, Pat

Indeed my friend! I believe most creative people share in this. Thanks for reading. ~Sharon
A great expression of what so many of us experience. By the time I get something to write with the thought has passed. Well rhymed and metered the flow made it a pleasure to read.

A mind that always spins with thoughts, so fast your fingers cannot put the words down quickly enough... I think you and I are very much alike, especially because I am a night owl too, and my mind begs for sleep but can't settle sown. Then, in the day, it seems like time stops and I can't remember all those amazing notions that were there, somehow disappeared...but maybe they will return. I like how you crafted this piece with the words and the rhyme. Well done
Best,B

What a nice review Betty my dear! Thanks ever so much. ~Sharon
The dark, small hours when the silence is deafening often bring thoughts, words that if not captured then are gone with the rising sun.
You are such a gifted writer Sharon.
Hope you are well

Oh yes, I can identify with this one right down to the arthritic fingers. If I don't write down the words when I think of them, they are lost forever. They often keep me awake at night. Very well written, Sharon. I am in awe of the way you rhyme. Lydi**

What a unique way to describe racing thoughts, and I find myself being able to relate to this piece! My mind seems to never be at rest, maybe while I'm asleep, but anyways this was well written as always!
