WHAT IF WISHES....

WHAT IF WISHES....

A Poem by Miss Sharon
"

What might happen if wishes came true.

"
WHAT IF WISHES...

What if wishes could come true?
I would wish sweet love for you.
Love to hold you in the night...
Keeping you from every fright!

What if wishes could come true?
You'd be joyful, never blue.
Happiness would be your friend...
It would never ever end!

What if wishes could come true?
You would get the things you're due.
Things you did that no one saw...
 Are rewarded after all.

What if wishes COULD come true?
Every life would be renewed.
Sin and sorrow would be gone...
Heav'n on earth would bring each dawn!

Such a sweet and kind poem..
Yes, what if wishes could come true. As a child my sister, one year younger than me and I used to say that if we had one wish...we would wish for 100 wishes...so that everything we wanted would come true..
Thank you Sharon for sharing,
Lisa

I wonder. Would there not still be vile and evil people wishing to rule and harm others as they now do? Would there still not be those intent on harm rather than helping one another? There are monsters running around loose in the world wearing the faces of women and men. I pray for protection for my children every day that God directs their paths away from such. There are so many roads in life and not many that lead to joy but a great many that lead to suffering. We need a guide; at least I have needed a guide on my journey and have tried to follow the path of life and not death. It is written in scripture that God told Jeremiah the prophet, "Furthermore, tell the people, ‘This is what the LORD says: See, I am setting before you the way of life and the way of death." Jeremiah 21:8 In the Book of Deuteronomy 30:19 it says, "I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life, that you and your offspring may live." We all have choices in life and every choice has rewards or consequences. They aren't exactly, "wishes" but they are paths and choices. Midas thought he wanted gold more than anything until it cost him everything. I read that Nebuchadnezzar had everything and attributed it to his own doing and making until he lost his mind. But I do hope that every prayer without guile or avarice is answered and every act of kindness and love is rewarded. I'm not very confident in my ability to choose what is right though. So I'll just pray for guidance in making the right choices and choosing the right paths.

Very beautiful and romantic. I think you, being a music teacher, have that music ear to write poetic songs. Enjoyed!

My pleasure!
I think this is what would happen....

In the dawn of our joy we find wishes.
And every night love scares the fright
With happiness that enriches
Heaven, Earth and all that is in our sight.

Thanks so much my dear friend! I appreciate you. ~Sharon
What if, is a good question; and no one knows if those things wished for will come true. But it's healthy to think about "what if's" and I, of course would love them all to come true, even the hidden ones!!
Good thought Sharon.
Best, B.
