RICH IN WAYS THAT MATTER

RICH IN WAYS THAT MATTER

A Poem by Miss Sharon
"

No matter how little money and how few possessions you own, having a dog makes you rich!

"
RICH IN WAYS THAT MATTER

He isn't long on legs or tail,
He isn't big on steps...
But he's the master of my heart.
He's never failed me yet!

He knows the times when I am sad,
And always hovers near...
He even feels my loneliness
And licks away my tears.

When first he came into my life,
My days were filled with joy!
We named him Tucker Baby then...
He's just my "little boy!"

Although he's getting older now,
His time with me will end.
But I am rich beyond compare...
Because he's my best friend!
*********

Dedicated with love to "dog lovers" everywhere!

This was just heart tugging. What a sweet tribute to your fur baby. I don't have any animals as pets. I feed the squirrels and birds that visit my feeders. I go out every morning and put out sunflower seed and unsalted peanuts. The blue jays and squirrels love the peanuts and I love to hear the early morning songs of birds. I had a wonderful little dog named Isaac once. He was so intelligent he almost seemed human and I loved him so I can relate well to the feelings expressed in your write. This was wonderful. F.

I recently made the hardest decision a pet parent could make. After 18 years, the time had come.
He still haunts the house. A beautiful tribute.

What a great tribute to your precious dog and all dogs. Man's best friend is tried and true. Dogs are indeed all you have shared. A great bonding experience to say the least. Your poem is grand.
