Missing my only son who passed away much too soon.

If I could have one thing today

To ease my deep despair,

I'd wish to see you one more time

And touch your wind-blown hair.

But also I would want to hold you

Close unto my heart,

And wish the day to never end

So we would not depart.

Your life on earth was much too short

And you deserved much more.

You were a friend to all you knew...

So pure down to your core.

The good die young I've heard it said

And now I know it's true.

My heart still breaks and tears still fall

My son...I long for you!
