Sharon, I hope you can pull out of this!
Over the last few years I have had many issues that also have me, at times, deep in depression, but so far there is always something to balance that.
I hope you can keep finding that same something because life is actually a wonderful treasure

"I think it would be better,
If I could say good bye."
Dear Sharon, you make the world much better just by your being, your presence, your light, your actions and words. Your deeply moving and despairing poem hints at the depression you must be feeling. Unfortunately, Holidays often trigger as much loneliness as they do joy. I feel a sweetness and a giving nature in you and know you must be loved and valued highly by the people around you. I would be proud to call you my friend. Please do not be afraid to seek help if you need it-no shame in doing that. I have. Please take good care of yourself. You are a star-unique with brightness emanating. Be good to yourself and be well. God bless ((you)) always.

((((Sharon)))) when you see others being happy and you are not, you feel as though there is no "safe" spot for you. I know you have been depressed for a while now. I wish I could say something to make you see you are a fortunate lady. You are so talented. Perhaps writing this was a catharsis for you. I do hope so. Lydi**

I pray for your inner peace my dear friend, depression is not a joke, even if You are surrounded by all your loved ones still there is an empty, lonely and sad place within You, that's why You know You alone can heal yourself from within. surely being around your dear ones help, and know there are many out there feeling like you do though You are not aware of them. please take care of your beautiful self. sending many warm blessings and bright wishes❤️

This is a beautiful write in its sadness, Sharon. I have one thing to say before I go on, "It would never be better if you would say goodbye. You would leave a great void. I used to feel this way around this time, although I live with my sister, I always felt alone. I found poetry and friends. I moved forward from that point. I can feel the deep depression within your sorrowed words. I have a wish that no one would ever feel loneliness over Christmas. Have a wonderful Saturday. Hugs always....Mike.

The undertones and reason not said make the reader think and wonder. Your rhymes are perfectly written with excellent flow. The desolate sadness in this is unmistakable.
Excellent writing.

Thank you so much for a beautiful review! Muchly appreciated. ~Sharon
A very well written rhyme and very dark. Sometimes we all feel depressed at times and feel like everything is closing in on us, suffocating us, but one should try to find hope and starlight somewhere….I have suffered too and felt hopeless, and there is nothing worse, but somehow I was able to pull myself to some sort of normalcy …..and the holidays don’t help with this kind of mood, but eventually paths will open and the sun will shine upon you.
Yours Truly,
Betty

This poem is saturated with sadness. It is heavy with darkness and I felt the full mantle of depression here. It is a reminder that many, especially at Christmas are not able to join in the joyful festivities for all sorts of reasons. Sickness, grief, loneliness, are a few of them. If only I had a magic wand to bring a little light. How I would love to do that. Sending you warm wishes across that cold ocean Sharon.

I think it would be better if you stuck around...
the fatalistic nature of this says hope for happiness has perished.
This is very Plath-like.
She eventually saw the darkness as it overshadowed her light.
the speaker here sees little alternative but to stop existing.
very sad piece, Sharon.
