I WISH MY LIFE

I WISH MY LIFE

A Poem by Miss Sharon
"

Thinking of life's regrets.

"
I WISH MY LIFE

I wish my life were over.
Said she into the air.
I've no more will to live or stay...
It seems I do not care.

I've missed the ball too many times,
I've nothing but regrets.
I know I should not feel this way,
But this 'ole mind is set.

My friends and fam'ly have no clue...
I do my chores an' all.
But no one really knows my pain.
I stand up straight and tall.

Perhaps one day they'll be surprised
To find me gone for good.
They'd be alarmed, yes this I know....
I'd change things if I could.

Hi Sharon, this write does move the heart to sadness. None of us should feel this way but so many of us do. I am always going through my dark moments but I always seem to come through them. Wait for the coming of the sun that shall dispell the darkness and give you hope for the future. I am truly touched by your honest, moving write. The heart does cry. Hugs always....Mike.

Thank you for writing so honestly about these widespread feelings that almost everyone my age hides becuz it's not correct to admit to feeling washed up, weighed down by regret, & ready to pack it in. I would never do anything to end my life, but I'm not overly crazy about living beyond 70 or so! Love your honesty & your structure is well-crafted (((HUGS)))

Suffering hurts so much, I once had an addiction but I overcame it. Off and on I live with depression, not every day though, it comes and goes, this is such an emotional read that tugs.

How sad. My mum refused medication on her last trip to hospital as she was done with existing in pain rather than living a happy life.
Such a beautifully sad poem

Thanks for your kind words. I am sorry for your Moms' illness. ~Sharon
Incredibly moving poem. I think many people feel this way at some point in their life, all too easy to feel alone in such thoughts but sometimes it helps to know you are not alone and valued :) A beautiful write that reaches out with such open emotion...

Ruth, I am very appreciative of your kind and compassionate review. Thank you. ~Sharon
This poem really touched me with its sadness and a sense of lost hope. It also felt very relatable as well. Many a time as of late I have often felt this type of insignificance too. Very powerful poem Sharon. Thank you for sharing your work with us.
