GRATUITOUS GRATUITIESA Poem by Miss SharonTraveling at the speed of life!GRATUITOUS GRATUITIES If only one more day had I To live before I laid to die, I'd slow my pace a bit. There'd be a time to laugh and cry, But never time to wonder why It was a sin to sit. Gratuitous gratuities And mutual annuities Are taking up my space. With every ambiguity I'm offered no immunity From reckless speed and haste! I see the sun now sinking fast Before my time is here at last, I roll the weighted dice. No crystal ball reveals the past And life's too short to be downcast... It does not happen twice! ~~~
