FEED ME TO THE SWINE

Just feed me to the herd of swine

 Beside the muddy lake.

This life has taken everything

When I was not awake!

It seems I was not diligent

Nor was I 'ere prepared.

To stand instead of sit me down

Upon my derriere.

Where went the days of laughter 'round

And hot dogs by the fire?

The news is fraught with gloom and doom

Of which I often tire.

I'd like to be a child again...

Wipe mustard from my chin.

And black the eyes of COVIDS' face

To help all mankind win!

Hi Sharon, as always your creativity shines through this wonder. I left with a laugh and a SMILE EVEN THOUGH THE PIECE HAD A SERIOUS MESSAGE. You give that covid a black eye. I would like to relive my childhood days, if only to change a few things. Covid is always so close these days. Mind you, it does look as if it is getting a kick up the butt. Funny thing though, every time we think we are getting on top of it, it seems to jump back in. One day, hopefully soon, it shall get more than a black eye. Have a wonderful Saturday. Sometimes I wonder if we shall ever get out of this disaster. Every time we think it is on the wain, covid rears its ugly head again.
