BEFORE THE CRASH

BEFORE THE CRASH

A Poem by Miss Sharon
"

Things can change in an instant.

"
BEFORE THE CRASH

Before the crash...I had hope.
Before the crash...I remember his sweet smile
As he sipped his morning cream filled coffee
And the sound of his long breath of satisfaction
After a well cooked home-made meal.

But in one instant of careless neglect...
A  life was taken...a family destroyed.
And as the freshly manicured grave
Holds my only love for all eternity,
I fiercely cradle his memory for all of time.

This might be fictional, but it feels so real....the emotions jump off the page. When a family member is gone in a crash, there is no goodbye....no closure. The pain goes deep. Well written, Sharon. I can almost hear the sigh after the meal. Lydi**

Fictional or not, it is unfortunately real enough
there is a highway here (northish B.C.) called 'the trail of tears' where this sort of misery has become almost traditional

That's just how it is for some families. They have a loved one, and then they are gone in a flash. Yesterday I was listening to a mum, whose son of 11 went missing twenty years ago and he's never been since since. Living agony. You convey those feelings so well dear poet in this fictional write. All the best to you. Keep safe.

Hey Miss Sharon :-) I hope you are well!

So nicely written, I saw each picture as if watching a movie in my mind not knowing where was going...
also so sad how it can tear down lives and bring so much pain.

Stay happy!

Thanks so much for your very nice review. Be blessed and stay well! ~Sharon
it came across so strongly that it felt very, very real.
Lives taken...reminds me of people driving while texting....I see so many....so hard to
police that. But it just takes an instant to destroy so many lives at once.
