WHISPERED ON THE WINDS OF TIME

A life and love poem.

WHISPERED ON THE WINDS OF TIME
  It's whispered on the winds of time,
And floating through the trees...
Each thought and word and loving deed
That you have sent to me.

At first I did not recognize
From whence they ever came.
Perhaps the ghosts of yesterday
Were bid to call my name.

When whispers toil and churn the air
With half a truth once told,
They soon become the ties that bind
A heart that beats...now cold.

Oh would that time could be turned back
And you were here with me!
I'd then be quick to whisper soft
To set your spirit free!

dear Sharon... your poem touches upon a
soft wind through the trees... where flowers were planted
by my Mother through the years. Now my tears have fallen
on memories swept away to another world where water flows
and flowers grow upon a heavenly field of Lillies and Gladiolus.
