A SUBCONSCIOUS COLLUSION

A SUBCONSCIOUS COLLUSION

A Poem by Miss Sharon
"

Remembering and missing my son.

"
A subconscious collusion the  color of
Memory washes over me with
Battlefield gray bouquets.

This date is encircled in red on every
Calendar I own with smiles that
   Forgot to  remember

And are wiped clean, quickly vanishing like
An ant in the  mouth of a  furnace.
Leafing through the dusty

Album of black and  white photographs,
I often wonder where  your beautiful
Smile now resides other than the

Faded opaque image clinging
Tenaciously to that last
 Drop of glue.
~~
