Gathering mem'ries Like children in snow, Everythings' dusted With things we all know. We have a lesson To learn and to live... Life is much sweeter When we start to give.
Holding on tight To the things we've acquired, Sitting reclusive Now that we're retired... Will not give purpose To life at the end. We need each other, Like brothers and friends.
Getting up early to start a new day, Sharing His love With our friends on the way. This is the life He has meant us to live... Trusting and loving, And then to forgive. ****
Throughout this piece I stumbled across an abundance of lessons. I have always feared growing older for many reasons. One of the many reasons I have pondered over is something I have witnessed while with patients, or my own grandparents-- I do not want to lose function or ability. However, after reading your piece I can finally see where my logic is flawed, and where I went wrong. There is so much good that comes from aging. A cliche benefit is wisdom, but there also begets patience, and truth. On another note your literary device and organization is pristine. I enjoyed this read immensely. Thank you for sharing.

When human beings reach a certain age, they love, trust and forgive more!
It's a chronological stage of life where people need their loved ones more.
I simply love your poems. They are out of the blue, simple to understand and meaningful.
We ought to respect elders.
Thank you for sharing this beautiful piece!

What a beautiful and complimentary review of this piece! Thank you so much. ~Sharon
reminds me of the 70 years my folks spent together...and how they were the last several years...sitting together in the tv room...my dad reading his book, my mom knitting.
thanks for that vision.
