WHY DOES IT NOT EXIST?

WHY DOES IT NOT EXIST?

A Poem by Miss Sharon
"

Story about an abandoned church.

"

WHY DOES IT NOT EXIST?

It stands alone beneath the pine,
Amid cold mountain air.
Its windows cracked its belfry tower,
In need of loving care.

Its been so long since it was new,
And filled with songs of praise...
With hands held high to worship Him,
And choir voices raised.

I wonder what has happened here...
Why did the songs desist?
Did members leave and not return?
Why does it not exist?

The Lord began this little church...
I know it's not His will,
That it is gone and only dust
Remains on window sills.

A thought to ponder over!
Unfortunately, believers have declined. The number of people in the world are increasing, but the number of people who visit the churches, mosques, temples are decreasing.
Maybe, they no more trust or they might not be willing be spend time there.
Thank you for sharing.
