QUESTIONABLE SNOWMAN

QUESTIONABLE SNOWMAN

The "why" questions for snowmen.

QUESTIONABLE SNOWMAN

How does a snowman grow a nose
And keep from freezing when it snows?
Where do they shop for scarves and hats
And coal-black buttons after that?

How can they smile when it's so cold
And do they 'gray' when they get old?
How do they walk without their feet
How do they scurry down the street?

Their arms are branches that don't match
And if they could I bet they'd snatch
A coat from someone in the crowd
Then laugh and holler right out loud!

This is silly and fun! I like having a break from all the soul searching that many poems invoke. I like how you've given an object a personality (as I tend to do in real life) and wondered about his snowman life

Thanks for taking time to review this little write! You are appreciated. ~Sharon
Lovely little Christmas poem Sharon. Sadly, we've had absolutely no snow this winter as it's been unseasonably warm. Such a shame. I was really looking forward to building a snowman with my son Charlie.

Beccy.

I appreciate the time you take with me my friend!
Thinking of the t.v. commercial where the snowman pulls off his carrot nose and passes it to the horse pulling the stage coach in the Wells Fargo ad. Not only can he grow one, he can feed it to a passing horse.. Valentine

Welcome Sweetie
they probably would snatch a coat...and then lie about it...thus the carrot grows longer...

they probably do gray as the grow old...slush is kind of gray...

clever, fun piece, Sharon.
