With open hands I give to you
A love for all of time
My hands are meant to comfort you

Be not afraid to open up
Your heart and deepest cares
These hands will hold you in the fray

My hands aren't meant to cause alarm
Or alter you tonight
But in the silence of your tears
They're meant to make things right

When days are long and hope deferred
Be mindful of their care
These hands that once created you
