POLLUTED GOLD

pain and sorrow...love's deceit
place your order, get receipt
life's a package deal you see
night and day for you and me

difficulties...debt...despair
on the wings of banished prayer
seeping through the cold night's wind
ever faithful to defend...

broken hearts and crystal dreams
lying helpless 'neath the stream
 all God's children lie in wait
by the splintered applegate

doubt, depression...drum roll please
feathered fury to appease
wilful, lustful bartered souls
bought with their polluted gold

mmm... I'm thinking that when it comes to testing souls, you mean testing by some sort of god...

well hell, I don't really believe there's any sort of god...(speaking of those in religions) that's jus my two cents.

life...I'd say life is just a series of addictions. everyone's addicted to something and/or someone.
but it also seems to be something more. sometimes you enjoy the ride, sometimes ...well just take it one step at a time. whatever choices you make will have greatest impact on what you'll get in your package. nicely penned.

Life is a package of many things and we all have to cope with its good sides and bad ones. In its furnace, mettle is refined as gold. Some will be pure and some tainted with impurities. Souls are tested and the outcomes are different. An excellent write , Miss Sharon....:)))
