![]() THE ROCKS ABOVEA Poem by Miss Sharon![]() The shelter of an aspen breeze...![]() THE ROCKS ABOVE Where days are bright and thoughts are true To mystery and prayer, Small creatures scurry in their play, To kiss the mountain air. The shelter of an aspen breeze Soft brushes on my cheek, To wash away the burden of A muddied stagnant creek. The rocks above a treeline path Which beckons me from sleep, Slow whispers what my heart desires With secrets left to keep. Please lead me to the rocks above Each forest hill and plain, To overlook the world below Which offers only pain. ~~ © 2016 Miss Sharon
