Unpredictable, unimaginable, unwanted, unacceptable pain in life.

LOCKDOWN

My son, I can't imagine why
Your days on earth are gone.
You never had a chance to play
Or sing your child a song.

What drone of woe locked down your heart
And spirit held within?
What evil lurked behind the veil
To take you on the wind?

I rue the day you left this plain
To seek your rest beyond...
The while I'm left to weep and wail
Beside the sullied pond!

My time will come to meet you there...
I wish it were today.
But I have work that I must do...
My lockdown in the fray.

First of all, I am deeply sorry for your lost. My heart went in palpitations while reading it, just to try to imagine your pain. But time, is the most wonderful medicine in Gods pharmacy, and with that, I pray you feel in more comfort as time goes by....since you understand you will meet Rodney one day again.

The poem is so beautiful and heart felt. Very well composed, and in each stanza, the reader can feel the energy of your love for him.
