OUT OF NOWHERE

He came out of nowhere,
So small and alone.
His hair was quite muffled,
It needed a comb.
The jeans he was wearing,
Were just a tad small.
He held in his fingers,
A dirty old ball.

And walking beside him,
His furry best friend.
Who wanted to play so
He barked without end.
The boy threw the ball and
His dog took to run.
The look in his eyes told him,
Boy this is fun!

Reminded me so of
My own little boy.
Who grew into manhood,
And gave up his toys.
Too soon life is over,
Just where does it go?
Take nothing for granted...
You reap what you sow.

A wonderfully well putted poem with enjoyable real softness to the history. In the last stanza I felt a sadness hidden in it, and still divine. You are right, we must not take nothing for granted.
See you, Miss Sharon. :-) Sil

You are most welcome my friend ☆ :-)
and in heaven he is still throwing that ball---they give up their toys, grow up too soon, and then leave us too soon.
