MISSING...

MISSING...

A Poem by Miss Sharon

MISSING

I miss being young
I miss waking to a new day
And being happy about it
I miss making plans for the future
And having goals to accomplish

I miss my sense of adventure
Curiosity and sense of humor.
I miss hiking mountain trails
And feeling invincible.

I miss my son
Seeing him only in my dreams
Is simply not acceptable
I seem to find most things
Unacceptable at this point in time

I miss hearing and feeling laughter
I miss lightheartedness and simple
Pleasures that bring contentment
But what I miss most in my life.....

Is me
*************

So true ma'am, this is indeed a fact of life and no one can ever get out of this stage of life... yet, we have to accept all that life offers...
That's the reason great writers have say - live each moment to its fullest...you don't know what will happen to you tomorrow...
Now, of this poem, I think you should be happy and enjoy this life too cause may be after a few days, you will miss this particular moment....
stay happy... always....

(((((Sharon)))) as we age, everything changes. Physically it is more obvious than emotionally, but it is there. We see things differently and can not do some of the things we used to take for granted. Yes, I miss a lot of things and people too. It comes with the territory...but it is sad. A very honest emotional write. Lydi**

We change with times to the extent that we can fail to recognize ourselves. This is indeed a sad poem and the loss of a son is indeed a big trial.
The last stanza is indeed very sad. So much happens in life that we find we have lost ourselves on this way.
God bless you for this wonderful write.

Sad but true, The things we take for granted and miss the most lie in our past. The missed opportunities, dreams and accomplishments. We can't change the past but we can learn and appreciate things now and in the future. A very touching poem...:).................

life can change us so much we don't recognize the self we are now....and we long to get that self back.

perfectly described here---if only we could turn back the hands of time....as the song said.
