A poem dedicated to my lifelong friend who has just been diagnosed with cancer.

TAKE MY HAND

Take my hand and you will see,
Just how much you mean to me.
Loving you the way I do,
Helps me have the grandest view.

If you falter...I'll be there.
For your pain, I kneel in prayer.
I would take that pain to me....
Just to set your spirit free.

Down through time we've doubled joys,
Halved our pain and wielded ploys...
Been there when the chips were down,
Laughing through our tears and frowns.

In my life there's never been,
Anyone like my best friend!
I suppose you've gotta' know,
How my heart just LOVES YOU SO!
