TALISMANS OF MEMORYA Poem by Miss SharonMemories of Christmas past....TALISMANS OF MEMORY I hear them from a distant place... Those days of focused anticipation, Roasted marshmallow dreams and Bells that jingled through the starry night. I see their faces, small and wonder-filled... Noses pressed firmly against windowpanes Frosted white, candles reflecting in Wishful eyes on Christmas Eve. I taste the magic of your kiss Beneath the mistletoe...children tucked Safely between folds of hand-sewn quilts... Refuge of a Grandmother's love. The red and green scrapbook filled with Sepia photographs lies open to a torn and yellowed Page...images which words can't express... Talismans of childhood's memory. ~~ © 2016 Miss SharonReviews
