COMING HOME

COMING HOME

A Poem by Miss Sharon
"

Coming home to mother nature....

"
Dream Lake, Rocky Mountain National Park

COMING HOME

My thoughts are enveloped by
scent of pine and distant calls of the loon where
white-laced mountains touch the face of God
and eagle wings slice frigid mountain air.

Leafing through pages of time and recall I am
chilled to the bone yet warmed by nature's glow.
And though I've hiked these trails in every season
known to man, and felt the presence of Deity so near,

Each time seems like the first and nature welcomes
me as her new friend by introducing me
to never before seen treasures. And hearing her
selective summons....I feel that I am coming home!

The lovely aroma of nature seemed to touch me as I was going through your lines....I loved the adjective phrases you used in the work like white-laced and eagle wings slice frigid.
"Each time seems like the first, as nature welcomes
me as her new friend by introducing me
to never before seen treasures and hearing
her selective summons I feel that I am coming home!" I am fascinated by the imagination presented by these lines....Thank you for sharing this poem.

Beautifully written, your words flow like the snow drifts created by your vision.
Makes me want to go to Mt Charleston and share a cup of coffee with the creator.
Thank you !

beautiful scene painted by the words and the picture...as close to God as one could get is where the breathtaking high definition of nature lies ahead of us.

The photo is taken in Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado and the peaked mountain is Hallet Peak. I love to snowshoe here in the winter!
