Oh Sharon, I just loved this. Each line was like a delicate willow branch swaying gracefully in the wind and throughout, the metaphor was subtle and perfectly carried.
I thought the whole poem lovely, and in particular, the third stanza created a quite wonderful image in the mind's eye.

Am I reading Byron or Shelly?
What a refreshing poem in spite of its very melancholic content.
It is a pity that poets like you are becoming an extinct breed.
Gosh, I need to read it again.

Dear Sharon, a beautiful ode to a weeping
willow... Its arms alway ready to hold you
and listen to your woes. A place to gather tears
and calm your fears with loving hope for life
eternal. Your gifted pen is a lovely song.
truly, Pat

Powerful and strong emotions in the poetry.
"Open door to broach its yearning
Buried 'neath the tearful cry"
Some doors are open. Never to be closed or forgotten. Thank you for sharing the outstanding poetry dear Poet.

No harm in being silly! That's what God gave us a sense of humor for. Love it! ~SP
