EVER GONE

EVER GONE

A Poem by Miss Sharon
"

Oh...what might have been!

"

And so my love...at last we meet.

You whisper words serenely sweet

Our time so quickly flies.

No never was my heart complete,

And nothing else can 'ere compete...

Within your arms am I.

No other joy shall crown my days

Like those in which you bid me stay,

To share a love so true.

You banish all my tears away...

In your embrace I'm gently swayed,

On grass of morning dew.

The sunlight pierces through a seam

Of curtains drawn...and then I scream,

To waken in the dawn.

Our love affair was but a dream,

Now in my eyes there is no gleam...

For you are ever gone!

~~

only a dream....what was that jimmy clanton song?
"just a dream, just a dream"

waking up screaming from a lovely dream is a different take...we usually wake up screaming from a nightmare, but her reality is anguish and loneliness...her dream is in his arms.

nice feel to this piece.

Oh to scream from a lucid dream of a love come to a sudden halt
Remember the face and sweet embrace your words make great pillow talk !
