BANKRUPT OF DIGNITY

BANKRUPT OF DIGNITY

A Poem by Miss Sharon
"

Written from a prompt in The Writer's Salon.

"
Inspired by Gabriel: Crying in the rain.
BANKRUPT OF DIGNITY

In another world...one of his own craftsmanship.
Learning how to live with his discretion of loss,
He returns to prod the past and paints
Himself into an extremely tight corner....
Somewhere between existing and exiting.

A gentle breeze ushers in a scent of the
Mundane places he has visited...alone,
While a halfhearted moon seems to cast
A peculiar shadow through the stars.

As it begins to rain, he tries to
Shelter himself with yesterday's memory,
Tomorrow's promise, and the haunting
Echoes of a far and away distant time.

it takes time to get good credit back after a bankruptcy...but that gentle breeze of respect can find its way back into his weather report.

i really like "between existing and exiting"

nicely done, Sharon.
