IAMB IN LOVE!
 

Iambic meter is my friend! The words which dance on page from pen, Are written by a midnight muse Who holds me captive and I choose To wile away the hours alone... Ignoring ringing telephones! Melodic music writes the words... Poetic mys'try may be heard. Please listen close to what you hear These iambs are not cause for fear! The stresses soft, then hard, are fun. Just feel the rhythm as it hums! The metric foot directs my hand, While rhyming verbs conduct the band. Each adjective completes the score, And leaves me begging for...amour! Iamb in love it's plain to see, With rhyming couplets sketch of me. ~~~ Form used: Raccontino
