Each day as I begin anew,
At once my thoughts, they turn to you.
Sometimes I think I hear your voice...
And if I could, 'twould be my choice.
But other times I see your smile,
And hear your laugh...then, after 'while,
I think of many happy days
When I was blessed to watch you play!
Your loving ways and sharp keen wit
Filled up each space...the room was was lit.
Your light which filtered through my days
Kept me from living in a daze.
~~
But since you've gone to other shores,
The tears have started...like before.
This broken heart may never mend,
But for today....my love I send.

Oh God bless you Sharon!!! You have written a beautiful memorial for your son! I too lost a 16 year old son named Chris. We NEVER forget them!!! NEVER!!! I have written many poems of sadness, and many of him as his loss is never away from me. It has been many years now but the joy of him has never been forgotten!
With sincere compassion and understanding, Sheila
