A Corridor

A Corridor

A Poem by One Life

I'm the girl in the corner.
No one sees me as they pass by.
Life is a long corridor
And where I'm sitting, the power has gone out.
People walk by but they could care less.
The most they do is stop to say hi,
They never offer help.
I need someone to pick me up and carry me
For I can no longer carry myself.
No one truly sees me,
And no one hears me begging for help.
