We Might As Well Be On FireA Poem by OneAmongstManyBurning LoveWe Might As Well Be On Fire We ignore the screaming streets and cars We laugh all the harder when it rains We gaze at the haze where there should be stars We might as well be on fire. We glide through the undulating tides We lose ourselves in nothing moments We stare through the air and our eyes collide We might as well be on fire. We flicker and flare all summer long We smile and nod to the masses We sway every day to a new favourite song We might as well be on fire. We ignore the cold and threatening nights Our spirits will never dim We burn more bright than the outside lights We might as well be on fire. © 2017 OneAmongstManyAuthor's Note
