Into A DreamA Poem by OneAmongstManyInto A Dream Breathless beauty, flying high Into a dream, into the sky; The atmosphere. Laughs and giggles, golden days The fitting score of hearts ablaze; In summer time. Gleaming lakes and branches fine These effervescent horizon minds; A bird sings. Dark and shadowed silhouettes Evaporating past regrets; Our old lives. The looking out, the breathing in The meeting eyes and touching skin; A light burns. Raging, flailing, love-struck figures Dancing by the moonlit rivers; There is no night. Thin and light, so full of life A distant glow, brighter than bright; Like marigolds. Such intellect, so circumspect A one-day dream, hopes kept in check; Until a dawn. Then at the end of harshest winter The bursting forth of flames from cinders; Embracing light.
Sweet company in times of trouble Picking daisies beneath the rubble; Hear the ravens. The growing old, the fading din Decaying minds but gold within; Then letting go. And as the curtains fall at last Gaze out at nature unabashed; We lived our lives. © 2017 OneAmongstManyAuthor's Note
