Into UnknownA Poem by OneAmongstManyInto Unknown Embark, they cried, Let not fear nor false promises Inhibit your lust for freedom. Let us cast off our shackles At the expense of whomever; For tomorrow belongs to us. Disregard, they implied, Or stated bluntly in some cases, For who has greater need than we? Let us plough the fertile field And uproot that which is hated; For tomorrow belongs to us. Take pride, they amplified, And rage against the dying embers, For from the ashes glory will rise. Let us never wane nor compromise In our quest for domination For tomorrow belongs to us. Not us, they testified, We could not have foresaw; As they weep at the feet of destruction. Let us take refuge now and hope That golden sky will yet prevail; For tomorrow may never come. © 2017 OneAmongstManyAuthor's Note
