The Glow

The Glow

A Poem by OneAmongstMany

The Glow

You once saw a glow

And your eyes would yearn for it

As you entered any room.

It was a soft glow-

Not harsh or blinding

It held a comforting familiarity

Like the song you had heard

In a moment so perfect.

You long to feel this glow

To have it spread its warmth

In the deepest reaches of your being.

But the glow fades

And without it you lose purpose

For the glow guided your every step.

Like countless before you

And countless still to come

You were entranced by the unattainable

For the glow is the one perfect star

In a multitude of lights.

Thank you :)
Captivating imagery. There is a warmth in familiarity but even still we are drawn to the unknown. This is a very intriguing piece. Nice job

You're welcome!
OneAmongstMany - Perhaps the only difference between people is the presence of a glowing idea in one and the absence of a glowing idea in another and the behavior each exhibits as a result. Enjoyed the glow of your words OAM. HarryHyman
