Through Enlightened EyesA Poem by Kristen R. HeylSometimes you may not always see the positive in things until you look back. The wind whistles through the trees and gently caresses my face.
I sit watching the sunset, an array of bright reds, oranges, and pinks streaking the sky.
As I visualize my futre I ponder my past.
In my future, I see a bright array of colors each one standing for success and as I look back at the past I see dark colors but with each new day these colors start to lighten.
The lightening of these colors represents each new step of self-discovery.
Little things that I have discovered have provided intense brightening of my world.
Each day brings a new challenge that I must overcome and together these obstacles make me stronger in every aspect of my life.
