I've lost my grip.

I've lost my grip.

A Poem by Megan Doeden

When I get up you still won't be there.
I'll be wandering the isles searching for you.
Waiting to steal that next glimpse of a smile,
that once kiss your lips because of me.
One second you're there.
Your arms wrapped around me,
cradling my heart like a soft lullaby.
It's all just a dream though.
When I turn around all that's left is
the scent of lavender and a broken heart.
I've lost my grip.
