beneath the trees.

beneath the trees.

A Poem by Megan Doeden

i wrote you a letter that you'll never see.
i ripped it up and left it beneath the trees.
it will decay with the days.
lose meaning in the nights.
i've let go of these words.
but the thoughts never disappear.
it has all gone unnoticed,
and i am still here.

"It will decay with the days and lose meaning in the nights" one of the most powerful lines I have read by a writer in the cafe.short and to the point.but its meaning is everlasting.
