A Poem by Megan Doeden

I live in a town where
secrets are things that don't exist.
Thinking things through is against the law.
Rebelling is the only way to survive.
Trust in an issue.
The solution is to run away.
Silence is only in the back of your head.
Happiness is a few steps away,
but you can never seem to make it that far.

I live in a town where you don't want to visit,
but people continue to pile in.
This is a place I call home.
