Inside

Inside

A Poem by Megan Doeden

He defined the
beauty
inside her.

Delicately weaving,
in-between
her bones,
the idea of how
breath-taking
she is.

Rummaging through
the back of
her mind,
rekindling
her confidence and
extinguishing the angst.

He found,
tucked away
behind her rib-cage,
her heart left
undefended and
scarred from
an exhausted past.

Ever so gently,
he replaced the
scattered diffidence
and fear
with a warm,
safe light of
assurance and
ardor.

The notes left
inside her of
loss and
disgust have
began to fade away.

He mended her
with a
single touch.

Solidifying the
theory of forever
becoming a reality.

It's very visual. I like the imagery involved. I think you could strengthen the piece by adding some structure, just take it to the next level.
