There were three

There were three

A Poem by OnceWitheredNigh

There were three

Three chances, three hopes, three longings that have left me empty and desperate. When the sun rests and the darkness rules, the mixed feelings of emotions and the free-flowing words of my underbelly stream the stars throughout the sky.

"Can you hear me?"

Wonderment, the longing. Drudgery the day. Absence the heart.

Feeling the inner moment of the time and the call from beyond and hamper to the wishes of those who must follow. I recall the images of the days past. I seek the information from the memories of long lost strands of time.

"Why do you call me? Why do you leave me alone?"

Fancy a world? Fancy a song? Fancy a life?

Oh what nonsense. The length of the day continues to grow until I am overpowered by the deep agony in my heart. Vanquish you demons. Leave.

The free flowing words bit takes a few reads to figure out but it works well with the rest of the poem.

I enjoy the mystery and non-mystery of it all.
