My LuciérnagaA Poem by Lloyd Frieson-SmallA poem I wrote for my wife in the first year of our joining. Enjoy.I thought of her late last night as I stared up at the ceiling. It felt as if her heart skipped a beat as she saw me in a dream, and her smile found its way to my window; desperate to steal my gaze, though we were miles apart... I struggle to contain the passion she inspires, my due season in all its glory... "Sae Helu..", she whispered to me. Her head against my chest... How could I deny her entry, when she had already begun to reconstruct the fallen kingdom all those years ago?... "My vision of perfection was never so broad, dear love..." The gift of majesty came with your grace, and enveloped all that surrounded in a lingering veil of brilliance; leaving my mind in a state of awe as you had always done. Never have I had such power at my fingertips... My luciérnaga, tiene una luz que nunca y sin embargo desapareció... Lead me in the night...
