On the Flip Side

On the Flip Side

A Poem by Omily
"

A poem.

"

Golden coin, on one side

You tide my quivering passions

And fashion for me

An illusionary picturesque

Bud of something beautiful.

And you are one moment

Cemented in space

With the trace of a defect

On your other face;

It might be regret--

Make me fret for I

Can't see your flip side,

Dark faced moonshine,

It might be rejection

In your quiet reflection

Of what made you

Minted in gold.

This is beautiful in its depth, revealing both the wonder of hope and the undercurrent of a darker destiny... come what may. Your words are vivid and alive!
