Life Cycle, Light Cycle

Life Cycle, Light Cycle

A Poem by Omily

Death is simple

In allegories and metaphors--

We are stars, then

We fade to nevermore;

But why can't we live

As stellar nebulas,

Infants of light

Shrouded in the night?

We go out with a bang--

Effulgent supernova--

No, life isn't over

In a guzzling black hole;

The hole is the living, and our souls

Pour out gifts

Cascade light

In an evermore afterlife.

I like your writing. It describes death is such a beautiful way that I understand it in a new way that I've never thought of before.

Your create such a vast feel to life and all we experience.. the lightness of being and moving... delving even into the richness of eternity. So powerful in your expressiveness!
