The View From Here

The View From Here

A Poem by Omily

I look at myself

Through your eyes,

Your fish eye lenses,

And I see myself

Not like a person, but like

An exagerrated stereotype

Of that enigmatic b***h

Who entered and exited

From center to back stage.

Yet, I can't see your eyes;

You closed the script

And your scene is over

But you will never be

A human hyperbole-

You were and are still

So real to me.
